What after the CPA exam?

Students and professionals who have recently appeared for any of the professional or college-based exams can relate to me when I say – After hours of studying and preparing for the one exam, and you finally appear for it and get it done, the kind of satisfaction you would have, nothing in the world can substitute that feeling. Think of all the sacrifices you would have made (forcefully or voluntarily) to prepare for that D-day – All the missed dinner dates and parties, family time and sleep, vacations, and movies, the list can go on and on. US CPA is one such comprehensive course which demands a lot of preparation and attention before you consider yourself to be ready to appear for the exam. But what after you give your exams, you may ask. The answer is that you help, reward, and excite yourself with some fun!

It is now time you relax and let go of all the stress you would have built over the course of the exam preparation time. I’m sure the very thought of the books and highlighters and understanding and cramming would send chills down your brain. Now is the time for some ‘exam detoxification’. How should one go about it? Well, you guys are in the right circle! We have the following fun to-do list that is going to help you enjoy your post-exam time:

Parties and Dates

I’m sure you would have canceled on your friends one too many times when you were preparing for your exams. Your friends would have definitely tagged you to be a party pooper! Now that your exams are done, it is time for you to show them your real tag – the Party Animal! Dress up, call your friends, plan night outs, and have fun! If you have a special someone, ask them out for a cup of coffee or a lovely evening walk in the park or a romantic dinner night!

Family time

Throughout your exam preparation journey, if there was one lasting support that you must’ve received, the chances are vibrant that you received them from your family. They have stood by you in your hard times, walked step-by-step with you till you reached your destination and beyond, and guess what’s more precious? They have missed you! Yes, they have missed your presence at the dinner table, they have missed pampering and fighting with you over which movie to play on the TV, they have missed talking to you in the garden, they have missed you! Now that the exams are done, spend time with them, adore them, help them, cherish them, embrace them, and better what? – Express your gratitude to them.

Movies and vacations

Ever heard of the quote – “Because we all need to believe in movies, sometimes”? Movies can help you stay relaxed and keep yourself entertained. One of the best substitutes for movies is the television or Netflix series! We recommend that all of you watch F.R.I.E.N.D.S, How I met your mother, Breaking bad, Big bang theory, the list goes on!
Even if you are not a movie or series kind of person, we still got your back! What you need is a vacation! A vacation helps you to relieve stress and boredom, gives you a change of scenery, provides you with adventure, and brings you closer to the people you love!

Food and drinks

Though we do not promote unhealthy eating habits, we do support old school – cheat days. You can take a day off to reward yourself with a waffle or ice cream or any junk food of your liking. We all know sharing is caring, especially when it comes to food! So, invite your friends and family to tag along with you when you’re out for food!

Customized/Personalised path to fun

Each one of us is different and so goes with our likings, hobbies, and ways to have fun. It’s really cool the number of fun activities people sign in to keep themselves happy – drawing, cycling, trekking, dancing, singing, playing instruments, developing a website, blogging, etc. Before you appeared for your exams, I’m sure you had to compromise on many of these fun activities/hobbies. Get back to these hobbies and explore the best version of yourself!
